I just had this with Yelan. I lost 50/50 and got Diluc, which wasn't all that bad since I needed a Pyro DPS anyway. At 85 pity I finally got her, completing my Nahida-Kuki-Xinqiu Hyperbloom, but it's only four days left. Even with Welkin Moon there's no way I can pull for Aqua Simulacra even with Soft Pity. To make things even worse, I pulled Weapon Banner last July 25 because I had 10 wish to spare, so why not, and got Azurelight. I did not have Skirk because I couldn't care less, and now I was at FOUR PITY.
3 days later (I had to work), I got 10 Wish. I could save it if ever Xianyun or Furina comes up for my Xiao, or risk it now. I said "maybe, just maybe" and went for it. And lo and behold, 14 pity, Aqua Simulacra pops up. My god.
