raiden basically made scaramouche to hand him the gnosis but when she tried to he started crying she was confused and said that he was too weak bcuz he was capable of emotions. Raiden has a complex relationship when it comes to emotions she doesn’t understand them bcuz it has always been makatos thingy not hers. Anyways then she set him free but sealed the power within him and made a new puppet and gave up her body to pursue her eternity thingy and then gave the gnosis to yae miko bcuz she had no need for it. Scara thought she had “betrayed” him and abandoned him and yea that’s it. she’s not a bad parent she thought she was doing the “right thing”.
Even though there is evidence she loves her kids despite not being a good person, that doesn't make her a good parent. A good parent has to actively be in the lives of their kids, actively support them, and discourage bad behavior. At the bare minimum. She's a Harbinger, with a house full of kids. It's very likely this means they don't get enough attention and are neglected. Also she kills people and isnt a good role model because she teaches her kids to act with violence.
Furthermore, because she isn't actively in all of their lives, she can't really help them through personal struggles as much as a good parent should.
FURTHERMORE, she lets her kids be involved with the fatui. A military force, with an undianiably high fatality rate. She puts her kids in danger. This is not something a good parent would do. Also, the actual textbook definition of grooming is to prepare someone for a particular purpose. She grooms her kids to be in the fatui.
FURTHERMOREE, she puts her kids in a situation they can't escape. If they are raised in the House of the Hearth they are groomed to become fatui agents and be involved with the fatui. Obviously, being around such dark stuff is not good for developement or in general. And yes, i know they wouldn't actually die, but that's what they think. Arlecchino's intent doesn't matter as much as the perceived threat. No they didnt think "oh haha ill just leave if i dont want to be here" they thought "my father is going to literally hunt me down if i mess up." Or "it's either this, or death." This creates a fear of failure and creates a feeling of being trapped. Would you want to be raised by her knowing you'd never have freedom, likely develope an extreme fear of failure, be desensitized to death, likely lack empathy, and live with the threat of death above your head? No.
Also, did i mention she kills people? So, in conclusion, Arlecchino is not a good parent pls stfu

arlecchino is debatable, but shes a father, not a mom. The only thing is shes kinda emontionally unavailable and exploits the children (way less than crucabena but yeah)
