That's why I stand for the dragon race! 😢😢😢 And the God before that. Also Nibelung.
Edit: I don't understand why most people see Columbina suffering as a matter of fact that need to sympathize, but see the dragon race rebellion as a villainous act that need to be judged for the suffering that human race experienced. Although I like Columbina as a game character, but I don't sympathize her in the lore. If you compare her to dragon race, then I would choose the dragon race. Why? I don't want a God that irresponsible to their homeland, choose to runaway to be a harbinger despite knowing what Tsaritsa and the Fatui bring to her homeland. She's powerless and seemingly clueless to her people suffering. Even feeling exasperate because she thinks Frostmoon Scions are egoistic in their praying. Well despite she doesn't have the power to grant their wishes. But running away still running away. Truthfully, in many mythology Gods are described as benevolent but also selfish. I think I know why she's a God. Then what is Nibelung and his dragon race? I know what they've done is not benevolent, even most people hates it as the cause of human suffering but don't understand why they do that, who's the ultimate cause of this, or who's the invader, only to see the sufferers are humans. It's like seeing those people who choose to side with people who exploit forest because human needs living environment without seeing those animals that live in the Forest as a living creatures that also need home. If that's what to be done to defend but in the end still losing their land, their homes, their family, their race, and their pride… I understand their plan that treating a dead horse as a doctor, or saying yes to devil's sweet promise. I sympathize more with the dragon race because of this. There's no black and white, and what they've done also not good, Nibelung also realized it too late. I hate Heavenly Principle and her cronies who destroy the balance. And I also realized why Neuvilette said "I hereby declare, people of Fontaine your sins are forgiven." Because I see that the sins are not only because they're a being that transformed into human, but also a being that was created by using a power that is not rightfully theirs. For example: you shot someone using someone else's gun, the court not only will judge you as the perpetrator but also the one who own the gun. The one who own the gun is completely innocent, just because he once owned the gun but his stolen gun hurt people, he was dragged down and labeled as a villain. People sympathize with Focalors, but I'm not. Yes, she's suffering. But on what occasion? The first generation sins are carried by their heirs. The first generation mistakes are to be inherited and solved by their heirs. Although in the end Focalors return the hydro authorities to Neuvilette, it's only because she doesn't have the full power to free people of Fontaine from the prophecy. If she has, she won't do that because it was a risky attempt, even knowing that powerless Furina need to act in front of a dragon sovereign who can single handedly kill her. It's like those fake young master dramas that was seeking validation that what they do is a benevolent act towards the rightfully young master. Focalors is truly a master of scheme. I said dragon race is really having a hard time in Teyvat. I just hoping their race can rise to prominent as a powerful race once again.
Only thunder bird was correct. Though thunder bird angry and attacked inazuma city instead.
Andrius disdain human weaknesses, he realized his power doesnt suit to rule humanity thats why he doesnt want to be mondstad archon and give up his body. He gives the title to venti.
After many loses against other god-like being, orobashi found enkanomiya ppl. Since they believe he can make their wish came true which is bring their civilitation to surface. But later orobashi knows the land of watatsumi is not good for living. So he tried to conquer yashiori island.
Honestly after the recent revelations & events, Orobashi reading that book doesn't amount to much. Perhaps, there is something else in that book we don't know about.
Wasn't Orobashi succumbing to Erosion and provoked the Shogun so she would kill him rather than allowing himself to live long enough to inevitably harm his people?
It's been so long since I did Ruu's quest…but I still remembered how extremely gory and cruel it was for that boy! Imgine experiencing that while still alive…</3
Here's another one: Signora only became evil because she left Monstadt to continue her studies in the Sumeru Academia, but while she was gone, the cataclysm struck, leading to her lover's death and her grief/rage turned her into the crimson witch of flames (the appearance of her phase 2 boss fight)
Also fun fact, ruu thought that his sacrifice would made the thunderbird happy so he kinda willingly be the sacrifice, but ofc thunderbird hated that he was the one sacrificed and destroy the whole island. And ruu still thought that his sacrifice brings good to the island
Andrius (Boreas) left his home in Nod Krai to help the people of the South (Mondstadt). But he refused to become a god there and he didn't return back home. That's just sad man.
the story of how the people treat ruu was one of the disturbing side quest i didnt expect. im with the thunderbird..the villagers annihilation gave me peace of mind..
Oborashi one I believe, he fought the Shogunate in hopes to bring the people of Enkanomiya to the surface. Win or lose, they will be allowed to do so. The Heavenly Principles was already not happy with Enkanomiya with it being the residence of the vishaps, original inhabitants of orignal Teyvat, and there being scriptures about the reality of Teyvat. This way, only Obarashi dies, and the people of Enkanomiya can go to the surface. Another reason being, Watatsumi land and resources is not just ideal. Winning against the shogunate will mean they can be in better land. But the defeat made the people stuck in Enkanomiya
Well Andrius one, he figured that after being stuck inside the wind prison built by Decarabian, being subjected to a cold and harsh winter land is just not right. So he gave up his right for the Anemo Archon seat and gave it to Venti so Mondstadt will have a kind, comfortable and peaceful life. The people did fight for their freedom and won afterall
Spoiler. . . . . . . . There is also hints of more of his background in one of the World quests in Nod Krai. That might be part of it too. It hints that he never wants anything to do with being under Celestia's rule should he had taken the Anemo Archon seat
Decarabian comes to mind, he truly believed that he was protecting his people from the outside war during the height of the Archon war, yet he never truly understood his people and they took never truly understood him as well.
It was tragedy born from miscommunication and misunderstanding from both sides.
Decarabian being a deity of storms could not fathom why his people want to venture out into the icy wastelands outside of their fortress.
His people felt trapped and never saw even a smidgen of the sky from within the storm fortress, their movement limited severely.
It was honestly one of the more interesting lores in Genshin, hopefully we can get more lores of Old Mondstadt ❤

Orobashi could've attacked shogun on his own and died without causing too much loss. But he instead launched a war.
Andrius story is actually sad…
I supported thunder bird. Ruu's grandpa was insane. The elders were insane. Or dumb. Dunno whuch suit them.
+ the angel who fell in love

Wait the thunder bird was the electro thingy boss ?

Orobashi was forced to go to war. Essentially, he was executed by Celestia, and Raiden was the (unknowing) executor.
Andrius (Boreas) left his home in Nod Krai to help the people of the South (Mondstadt). But he refused to become a god there and he didn't return back home. That's just sad man.
Changsheng sacrificed both her physical form and her ability to live independently to save the people of Chenyu Vale!
I still feel bad, sad, mad for Ruu. After all the quests we've been through.. that one left a mark.
Fraudvenly principles
the story of how the people treat ruu was one of the disturbing side quest i didnt expect. im with the thunderbird..the villagers annihilation gave me peace of mind..
I thought the Thunderbird became enraged, not maddened.
No clue how the Island elders came to the conclusion "kill the kid God likes"
You gotta think they just hated being alive
Story of Thunderbird gotta be one of the most devastating tragedy of misunderstanding. 😢
Andrius came from nod krai 😮
RUUUUUUUU 😭💔

Its harsh how beast and dragons in Terra had genuine reason to be mad, Neuvilette was lucky he didnt turn out like the others
