Some importamt things to note for Varka wanters:
Varka's premier team is Varka/Venti/Durin/Bennett. Currently, the team comp that gives him the highest personal DMG involves double Anemo/Pyro as well as having a Hexerei character. (C6 Faruzan or Ifa also works well.)
There's also speculation that Nicole will be a Hexerei Pyro shielder support and might replace Bennett for Varka teams.
Also, it's worth getting his signature weapon. Massive DMG increase compared to his alternatives. It's obvious, but even more so for Varka since there are barely any other good alternative claymores for his kit except maybe Wolf's Gravestone or Serpent Spine.
