Disagree with Baizhu, but in general you're correct. Not only do those characters come out of nowhere, they don't have any relevance besides occasional cameos after their personal quest. I rather save my primos for Sandrone and Alice than go for someone I've never heard before, unless they really resonate with me or I really enjoy their gameplay. But this isn't a new issue, a lot of characters have been this way. This started in version 2 with Eula and Ayato
