Alright, I have to officially take the L on this one. I was completely wrong about Nicole in my last Luna 7 pull guide, and we need to talk about why she is actually a must-pull for your account.
In my last video, I said she was easily replaceable by Bennett because they both just buff flat attack. But I completely overlooked the defensive utility. Creator server gameplay just showed Nicole’s shield tanking 3 to 4 back-to-back hits from the Hydro Tulpa in Stygian Onslaught. We are talking actual Zhongli-level shielding here, which completely changes her value for high-difficulty content.
Additionally, the new “Celestial Gift” artifact completely isolates Bennett. Because he isn’t part of the Hexerei faction, he can’t use it—giving Nicole a massive mechanical advantage in the 2026 meta.
Look, at the end of the day, endgame content is getting brutal. We need two teams for Spiral Abyss, three full teams for Stygian Onslaught, and up to 26 built characters for Imaginarium Theater. Having a character that acts as a second Bennett with a god-tier shield is literally what we’ve been dreaming about since Patch 1.0.

They're both good. Bennett is better in teams with no SubDPS or the supports can't make use of Nicole's teamwide ATK Buff like
Mavuika, Xilonen, Citlali or
Chasca, Furina, Citlali
Nicole is a downgrade from Bennett in Mavuika teams if you aren't using her with someone like Durin since Nicole's ATK Buff will take 3 seconds to kick for a Non Hexerei onfielder so she's Anti-Mavuika in an optimal rotation
They're both good at seperate things
I'll weigh my options at the end of the banner, might "build pity" on it to a point to get Prune and if I get Durin by accident maaaybe I'll try for Nicole?
Otherwise I'll try to get her on her rerun.

Hopefully they’ll be a Natlan Buff for Benny because of his recent story. I think if he had another story to re-introduce his newer revised power flaming abilities, people cited during his Natlan tide story about how he was connected to that region and, how come he didn’t get a NightSoul type buff. Which in my mind made sense of their argument back then, he had potential, but Hoyoverse Developers wanted his Story to be a summer one to finish off the region in the Animo island location in Natlan. Though he ultimately decided to return to Monstadt to continue living there instead.
Almost all the time I hear people talking about new characters that are about to come, most of the time 3 things can happen:
1 – They sound really bad, and up being super good
2 – They sound super good, receives a nerf, gets trashed out, but comes out very good
3 – They sound really bad, and they end up being pretty bad

the thing with nicole is that she's not really stronger than bennet in a vacuum, there's a few teams (like mavuika melt) where she's a strict downgrade, and a lot of situations where she's not significantly better. the only reason she's good is because of the same sort of super strong synergies with other new units built into modern kits and deliberate anti-synergies with existing units that we've been seeing since nod krai launched, so unless you plan to invest in a full hexerai team you're just wasting primos (especially since bennet isn't even used that often anymore so having a second one isn't as big as it used to be), and even if you do invest in that team it's gonna immediately get powercrept in 7.0 at which point all your hexerai units will probably be made worthless when hoyo makes the new units not work with them
The point on Nicole are three:
– More comfort in gameplay
– More damage in teams where there's strong sub-dps
– Room for investment on her constellations for a definitely stronger version of Bennett.
Omg, I can have two cakes. One attack buffer for one team on abyss and the other attack buffer in the other. Why use two pyro teams at the abyss? Idk man, cryo dps are allergic to me owning them so I have too many pyro dps than pyro sub dps 👁👁

I'm sitting here enjoying my two cakes. Especially since as you stated at the end… We need 3 fucking teams minimum now for stygian and like half the games characters at least 70 with filler artifacts for IT
I’m so glad I got durin on his debut banner. I plan on using Nicole, Durin, Fischl with either Arlecchino until I get Klee next time we get the monstadt banner

I mean I absolutely hate the crutch Bennett but now with Nicole…?
Well I still dislike it but I really wanna actually use Varka for once so I can put her on his team. Besides it's Nicole I mean come on
Missing one last thing about why Nicole is better than Bennett, Circle Impact can finally fucking die, to have a buffer that doesn't care I'm standing on their designated microscopic area to get a damage buff while the Boss is doing their best impression of Lightbing McQueen and zooming 60 meters to the opposite end of the arena for no particlar reason, having a buff that I can just carry around as long as the shield lasts is pretty much better than just cry having to waste buffs because the enemy just moved away.
Just another lazy theorycrafter who didn't even read her full kit before making a decision.

About sums up the thought process of most TC'ers. Only now are they taking the time to actually read and understand her kit, as well as QOL benefits, like easy, 100% uptime on buffs. Something TC'ers assume Bennet gets in their calcs, but never happens except on training dummies and Regesvines.
and its 6.X teams demand hp buffer, em buffer and damage buffer even def buffer and atk buffer so having 1 atk buffer is more than enough i think. i think nicole is trash she doesnt fit into mauvika team at C0 and why bother buffing atack of supports.
Yeah even the overworld Tulpa hits like a truck, the fact the Stygian one can have several hits tanked is utterly insane when it’s like above abyss and theatre levels of strength
Because Klee needed anymore help, it’s kinda terrifying at this point
Is she good generally? Or is she good only for hexerei like varka durin. I dont have them and I dont plan to have them. So should I pull? I'm an endgame player with waifu collection mindset. But sneznhaya is near so I'm contemplating
