Actually he posted again today, confirming the news but also giving the general description of the cause: basically series of bad events which include the death of a loved one.
So he had to return back to his home region (aka leave hoyo's work office which is on the other side of the country basically, and also the madge demand of a 40-day patch release cycle).
He said he will continue working as a composer, and for now his next project is a series of composition class (online, on his socials. Idk if it will be bilibili or douyin.) He was also talking about orchestrating comics.
So yeah, you can see that he's atm not in a position where he can work in an office setting. Things must be a bit hectic for him, that he could only come out about it now.

Hoyo treats theor workers amazingly is what I'd guess after the VA strike. They handled that so incredibly well.
Just like Yu Peng Chen, it's sad that he left but after that the worst didn't happen, it only gets better with the rest of the composers who got a chance to let their talent blossoms.

I dunno, music got progressively worse over the years. Not a single memorable boss theme since eschatologia iudicata and Absolutio Absoluta Absolutissime.
Music is still good overall, but feels lacking.

In original post he said due to many of unexpect strike (including parents died) he left mihoyo.
The fact people on this comment section (on the composer's) couldn't believe he resigned willingly, so they immediately assumed Mihoyo's management drove him away.
Because their brains can't even conceive the possibility that he just wouldn't leave peacefully.
